The Eastbury Hotel is a luxury Georgian country house hotel with lovely gardens and a boutique Spa, set in the heart of the lively historic town of Sherborne, Dorset.
Pretty Sherborne’s medieval buildings, Georgian architecture, specialist shops, castles and commanding abbey stretch out before The Eastbury. There’s nowhere more winsome and restful for a short break away.
Respected hoteliers and entrepreneurs, Peter and Lana de Savary run this 26-bedroom Georgian-styled hotel whose façade has little changed since the 1920s when built as a gentleman’s residence. Beyond its town house exterior lies a Tardis interior that unfolds to reveal rooms of varying sizes and designs. The hotel was recently Awarded a Five Star by the AA Hotel Guide.
Some guest rooms are Georgian through-and-through, while others are contemporary in style. Individual touches include a freestanding bath discretely shielded by an antique screen, a vast mahogany sleigh bed and Asian-inspired sliding shoji doors.
Outside, The Eastbury’s peaceful walled garden is a calming oasis (the perfect spot to enjoy a cup of coffee and the morning papers). Lunch may be taken out here on the terrace Bistro.
In addition to breakfast, Seasons Restaurant offers Lunch and Afternoon Tea.
You can enjoy their Cocktail Bar with a range of Wines, Beers, spirits and Cocktails.. The restaurant caters well for children and plenty of garden games in the warmer weather. The private garden pod can be reserved for that extra special occasion.
The Woodland Spa is available for guests to use comprising of a Sauna, Steam shower, Hydrotherapy tub, outdoor Jacuzzi Hot Tub and two treatment rooms. A range of relaxing treatments can be booked from manicures and facials to massages and reflexology.
The newest addition to The Eastbury Hotel in 2020 was The Eastbury Cottage. A self catering property just a stone's throw away from the Hotel. Guests of up to 6 people and their furry friends can enjoy this property with three ensuite bedrooms, a large living room with an inglenook woodburner fireplace, a dining room with family games, a well equipped kitchen, a private garden with an outside dining area, BBQ and a private hot tub. The best thing is that guests staying in the Cottage can have full use of the Hotel Facilities.
