This April the Fleet Air Arm Museum is combining chocolate, engineering and Concorde for a memorable Easter. Bringing an egg-cellent twist to the holidays, the museum’s team will challenge its visitors to get hands-on making a cradle and parachute for a chocolate egg and drop it from the Concorde viewing platform. Visitors will get to keep their egg, so hopefully it lands in one piece! This event is happening Tuesday to Thursday from the 8th to the 17th April, 10am to 3pm. There are options for vegan chocolate eggs too.
Eggs-citing experiences await for visitors after this event too, with four aircraft halls filled with one hundred years of the history of flight. Chart the history of the Fleet Air Arm through the people behind the aircraft, from its earliest stories to the present day, and hatch a plan to walk through the first British-built Concorde. Or scramble the jets and explore the carrier experience, featuring aircraft from throughout the history of aircraft carriers.
Elliott Bailey, Public Programming Manager at the Fleet Air Arm Museum said “This Easter we’re challenging our visitors to a twist on the conventional egg drop, and one that’s a lot sweeter. We hope that the fact that we’re hosting it in the shadow of Concorde, a feat of engineering and an icon of the jet age, inspires our visitors.”
Unless stated otherwise all events are free with a valid museum ticket, which offers year-round access to the museum and its seasonal events.
