'Stilegate' offers quality bed and breakfast in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Awarded the sparkling diamond award and warm welcome award by the RAC, Stilegate prides itself on a first class location with panoramic views of Exmoor National Park and Somerset coastline.

Each bedroom has en suite facilities, hairdryer, tea/coffee-making facilities, refrigerator, colour remote TV and alarm clock. Fresh local produce is used wherever possible for breakfast, which is prepared on the Aga to suit individual requirements. A guest lounge with oak floor and wood burning store is available throughout the year to ensure a warm welcome by the hosts Heidi and Peter Morse.

We offer a purpose built ground floor en-suite room with it's own independent access and private off-road parking bay. This is suitable for less able persons such as those confined to a wheelchair (mobility level 1 assessment by ETC).

Stilegate is situated on the newly opened Coleridge Way, a 36-mile walking route between Nether Stowey and Porlock. Drying room facilities are available and luggage transfer by arrangement.

Road Directions

M5 Jcn 23 Follow A39 towards Minehead for 15 miles. Enter village of West Quantoxhead and turn left immediately past Windmill P.H. towards Bicknoller, 2nd right into Staple Lane, 1st right into Staple Close. House situated in far left corner down short driveway.
