St Marys Lodge is situated in the heart of the Somerset village of Croscombe, which lies at the foot of the Mendips, just a couple of miles from the ancient Cathedral city of Wells and the old market town of Shepton Mallet, both of which have leisure centres and sports facilities, and is surrounded by lovely countryside. Croscombe has 2 pubs (excellent food served at both), a post office, village store and a lovely old church. It is steeped with history and their are lovely walks on the doorstep. There are many local attractions such as Wookey Hole Caves and Cheddar within easy distance, together with coastal resorts such as Weston-Super-Mare, Lyme Regis, Exmouth, Weymouth and many more. Bath and Bristol are within easy distance - there is a main line railway station at Castle Cary (approximately 8 miles away) which provides inter-city travel to London Paddington ( scheduled time approximately 1 hour 40 minutes).
St Marys Lodge is a 4 bedroomed detached village house with ground floor amenities especially designed for wheelchair access, to include ground floor bedroom and shower room. There are 3 further bedrooms - 1 en-suite and a family bathroom on the first floor. It sleeps 4-8 people. It is furnished to a high standard and is extremely comfortable. It has double glazing and gas central heating, making it ideal for holiday breaks all year long. There is a small south facing garden with patio furniture with private parking for two cars.
The owners, Jane and Dennis Hughes, live in the village near to the property and will do everything possible to ensure that you have a lovely holiday and wish to return.

M5 Jcn 23 Take A39 towards Street and Wells; on entering the city of Wells, turn left at the roundabout onto the A371 signposted Shepton Mallet; Croscombe is about 2½ miles, one lies between Wells and Shepton Mallet; on entering Croscombe, take first left after the village school into Coombe Cottage and St Marys Lodge is behind a pair of large wrought iron gates on the left.
From Wells bus station Buses run to Wells from Bristol; there is a main line railway station at Bristol Temple Meads; from Wells take the Shepton Mallet road or the bus to Shepton Mallet and get off at Croscombe - by the Old Vicarage; walk past the village school and turn left into Coombe Cottages, St Marys Lodge is on the left-hand side.
