Pat and David welcome you on arrival to their country house which provides spacious accommodation where a friendly and relaxed atmosphere can be enjoyed. Linnets enjoys a private drive and parking, gardens, heated swimming pool, completely secluded summerhouse, is wheelchair friendly and has additional disabled facilities.

The shops are 2.5 miles and the village pub, which serves excellent food and wine is 5 minutes’ walk away.

The Linnets is within easy reach of the resorts of Watchet; Minehead (with Butlins Holiday Camp); Porlock (with its famous weir); West Somerset Railway nearby at Bishops Lydeard. There are many coastal path walks that can be enjoyed and local information will give full details.

Dunster with its castle and quaint, interesting shops and restaurants is another place of history and interest and especially (not to be missed) are the delightful cream teas. The Tropiquaria, Washford Cross, Watchet also makes an interesting outing. Tennis, riding (disabled riding centre at Bishops Lydeard) are within the local vicinity, also, for golfers, the Oake Manor Golf Course at Oake is only a few miles away. In Taunton, Vivary Park has a golf course too.

Gyms and swimming pools are at Wellington and Taunton sports centres; and a day at Sedgemoor Splash, Bridgwater, makes for a fun day for adults, particular for the children.

For a wonderful relaxing time nearby, Cedar Falls Health Farm is only a few miles away, plus there are numerous National Trust properties where a pleasant time can be spent in the colourful gardens and gift shops.

Taunton, being the county town of Somerset, has the Brewhouse Theatre which puts on a variety of productions throughout the year; also there are many superior award winning public houses in Taunton and surrounding areas.
