Burnham on Sea has all the charm of a traditional seaside resort with its own distinct character. It is famous for its unique nine-legged lighthouse and also boasts probably the shortest pier in the country in the form of the Pavilion.

Plenty of family fun can be had on the seven miles of sandy beaches extending up to Berrow and Brean to the north. That might be donkey rides for the youngsters, sandcastle building, cycling along the beach (subject to tides), sand yachting or just unwinding with an ice-cream and the views of Bridgwater Bay and the Welsh coast in front of you.

Apex Park, at the southern edge of Burnham, offers many additional leisure opportunities such as places to fish, BMX biking areas, a skate park, a trim trail, and a children's play area.

There is a busy town centre with high street shops and a range of more traditional outlets where traditional customer service lives on.
As well as guesthouses and self-catering cottages in and around the town, the area is especially noted for its variety of campsites and holiday parks. They offer a tremendous range of facilities from fishing lakes to golf courses, swimming pools to entertainment complexes catering for adult and junior audiences and some have direct access to the beach.

Over the year all manner of events take place locally including: the Burnham Aquathlon in April, the conclusion of the Vale of Avalon Vintage Vehicle Road Run in June, a Folkfest in late August and one of the famous Guy Fawkes Circuit carnivals in November with over a hundred carts, to name just a few.

Nearby attractions include Brean Leisure Park, Animal Farm Adventure Park at Berrow and plenty more places of interest for all ages are easily accessible just a few miles inland.
