Festivals and Events in Watchet
Watchet may be a small town (population 3,800) but it’s probably one of the busiest towns in Somerset when it comes to Festivals and Events!
The fact is we LoveWatchet and Watchet loves to entertain!
Here are some of the reasons you should Visit Watchet

EVENTS
In February there is the Literary Festival called ‘Words in Watchet’.
The Month of May sees the famous Watchet Wheelbarrow Race and in June we have Maritime Mayhem. Then in July it’s time for Watchet Carnival.
Come and celebrate ‘Watchet Summertime’ in August and in September it’s time to dress up for the 1940s weekend in conjunction with West Somerset Railway.

MARKETS
We have two markets in Watchet. From April to September there is a regular Wednesday Market on The Esplanade run by Watchet Town Council and on the first Sunday of the month March to October there is the Watchet Street Fair run by the amazing Molly, part of the Coastal Communities Team, also on The Esplanade.

LIVE MUSIC
You can always find live music in Watchet!
From Rock to Sea Shanties we cater for all genera and sometimes you can find them all on the same night!
